Alinity has been a part of a lawsuit against Twitch. Erik Estavillo, a Twitch viewer who is from California made a complaint to the civil court asking for $25 million damages from Twitch for exposing them to "overly explicit and sexually explicit content that came from female streamers" as they browsed the site. Based on court papers obtained by Dexerto the plaintiff who had previously filed suit against Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment, presented an official complaint to the court on June 15 to seek a lawsuit, and Twitch itself was issued an official summons in June 19. Estavillo is an individual who, according to his complaint in Santa Clara Superior Court of California submitted on June 15, suffers from obsessive/compulsive disorders including sexual addiction as well as other ailments that cause him to depend solely on the internet for entertainment. The complaint also claims Twitch can cause more harm to these disorders. The complaint continued to list several female streamers who it believes "continues to make available viewers who just want to see players playing games on Twitch, but instead get exposed to sexually addictive material and content on a consistent and frequent basis." Alinity did not appear on the list. The complaint seeks relief, the company wants to ban forever all streamers who violated Twitch Terms of Service. $25 million in compensation is sought, "to be divided between the plaintiff as well as other Twitch prime Turbo Subscribers" and the rest going to charitable organizations.
