Miesha Theresa

Miesha Theresa Tate, an American mixed martial arts expert. Also a former mixed martial arts artist. She competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is an ex- UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. She was born in Tacoma, Washington, she was very involved in sport throughout her childhood. As she was attending Central Washington University Central Washington University, she started attending the mixed martial arts club following a recommendation from one of her friends. Her first professional match was when she took on Elizabeth Posener (a Muay Thai expert) aged 20. She made her debut as a professional in the HOOKnSHOOT Women's One-Night Grand Prix, which took place in 2007. After two years, Tate became the FCF Women's Bantamweight Champion the very first time. Tate was praised and appreciated for her fighting style that incorporated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as wrestling. It was a huge hit when she won the 'Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Title' shortly after.
